Meridianum Ensemble is a transcultural collaboration bringing together musicians from Portugal, the UK and Morocco. The six musicians use their individual styles & influences, mixing them with Arabic oud from Morocco, Middle-Eastern percussion, original compositions for Persian santur & Swedish nyckelharpa, the Medieval sounds of the hurdy-gurdy and cittern - all inspired by traditions ranging from Eastern Mediterranean to Portugal and beyond. The result is a world class ethno fusion musical project with an unique and captivating sound.

Having released two singles, the duo plans to explore news aproaches to interpret and arrange music that belongs to ancient traditions.

João Serrador is a chromatic kalimba player and maker. He explores the kalimba in a very unique way, developing the instruments range and possibilities in ways never heard before.

In this duo we team up to explore original compositions and arrange them using combinations of unique timbres.
