Meridianum Ensemble is a transcultural collaboration bringing together musicians from Portugal, the UK and Morocco. The six musicians use their individual styles & influences, mixing them with Arabic oud from Morocco, Middle-Eastern percussion, original compositions for Persian santur & Swedish nyckelharpa, the Medieval sounds of the hurdy-gurdy and cittern - all inspired by traditions ranging from Eastern Mediterranean to Portugal and beyond. The result is a world class ethno fusion musical project with an unique and captivating sound.
